['ɛi̯nar-; »Schalenklang«], isländischer Dichter, * etwa 945, ✝ etwa 995; lebte am Hof des norwegischen Jarls Håkon (✝ 995), den er in seinem Preislied »Vellekla« (»Goldmangel«) als Heerführer und Schützer des Götterkults feierte. Seine Kunst zeichnet sich durch vollendete Reimtechnik und komplizierte Umschreibungen (Kenning) aus.
